Nigeria Customs Intercepted 45 Sack Bags of Marijuana

Customs caught 45 sack bags of marijuana worth N250 million from Ghana,  The seizure was made along Agbara/Badagry hub by the Western Marine Command The zonal facilitator of Nigeria Customs Service(NCS), Zone 'An', Assistant Comptroller-General Eporwei Edike, uncovered this on Wednesday, December 21, amid his visits to the Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA) Customs Command, Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone "An" of Customs and Western Marine Command (WMC) of the administration in Lagos.

Edike ascribed the accomplishment to the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Retired Col. Hameed Ali, for his pleasant administration and exceptionally steady. He said the Hameed Ali's authority has empowered officers to concentrate on annihilating pirating in the nation.

He declared that the seizure was made along Agbara/Badagry pivot by Marine Command, including that the marine order had so far made seizures esteemed at N3.35 billion in 2016. He said that the Duty Paid Value (DPV) of the aggregate seizures recorded was N3.83 billion.

Edike complimented controllers in the zone for their splendid income execution, calling attention to that the Murtala Muhammad Airport Command created 50 billion in 11 months.

- This specific seizure is the fourth seizure of pot in this year alone.
