Nigerian Customs Impounded 1,200,000 bags of Smuggled rice, Worth N14m in Sokoto

Along Ilella street in Sokoto state, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) captured a full loaded truck of rice, The 25kg bags of rice were being smuggled in a truck before they were seized.


1,200 of 25kg sacks of smuggled rice with an estimated duty of N14,380,800.00 were caught.


The Nigeria Customs Service serving Sokoto/Kebbi/Zamfara region impounded sacks of rice worth more than N14 million along Ilella Road in Mamman Suka, Sokoto state. 

The officers of the summon, under the administration of Comptroller Nasir Ahmed caught a truck loaded down with 1,200 25kg sacks of smuggled rice with an estimated duty of N14,380,800.00. he said
