Seme Area Command has Generated N594m in January 2017

Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has gathered N594 million as income in January 2017.


This is notwithstanding 43 seizures with a Duty Paid Value, DPV, of N92 million appropriated in the period under survey. An announcement by the Public Relations Officer of the charge,(PRO) Taupyen Salenchang, said the real income gathered was from imported general goods and things appraisal utilizing the Passengers Baggage Entry System, PBES, stage.

On the income figure, Controller of the order, Mr Victor Dimka, said that the prohibition on vehicles through the land outskirts had no negative ramifications on the Service since no income was lost to the Federal Government's coffers.
