Vehicles are Still Smuggled Through The Land Border-(NCS)





The Zonal Coordinator Zone "A" of the Nigeria Customs Service, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, Monday Abueh, has cautioned that there was no backpedaling on the ban of vehicles through land borders,
Even as he affirmed that some resolute smugglers a week ago endeavored to smuggle in a portion of the vehicles at present caught at Cotonou.

Abueh expressed this at the idiroko boder in Ogun State amid his voyage through territory charges under his supervision. As indicated by him, five fresh out of the plastic new 2014 model autos including; Mercedes Benz ML 350, Mercedes Benz E350, Lexus 330, Toyota Sienna and a Hilux watch vehicle small included.


He said the autos were caught at the Alare border in Idiroko. ACG Abueh said that no captures were made regarding the seizures on the grounds that during the time spent catching the smugglers, they had deserted the vehicles and fled into the hedge.
He however guaranteed that examinations are going. Additionally, Customs Area Controller, Ogun Command, Comptroller Hassan Gangwua said the Hilux watch vehicle which was secured was fitted with 
Nigerian Navy number plates to take into account simple section. He said the watch vehicle was stacked with sacks of rice.
