NCS- Killers of the Two Custom Officers in Katsina Must be Arrested



The Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali, on Thursday pledged to bring justice to the killers of two Nigeria custom officers of the service.



Joseph Attah, the Service Public Relations Officer, in Abuja further explained that Ali said the executing of Chief Superintendent Maidama Yabo and Assistant Superintendent Babandi Shaba was uncalled for.

The shooters, suspected to be criminals, took away the customs AK47 riffle, bullet proof vest, helmet and shoes.

The CGC said the administration would never again acknowledge the killing of its officers by criminal.

He cautioned that from now on custom officers would not falter to apply appropriate force when necessary.

Ali stated, while mourning with the family of the perished, he said that the service would do everything it could to convey the killers to justice.

As indicated by him, investigation concerning the occurrence is progressing to determine the thought process of the killings.

He denounced the act of smuggling and other criminals who perpetrated wounds against smuggling agents doing their statutory duties. 


"Custom officers and all security agents are also Nigerians whose lives are profitable to their families and the country everywhere," Ali said.

Ali lauded the perished officers and supplicated that the Almighty Allah would concede them unceasing rest.

He recognized the officers for their devotion to duty.
