F G is Encouraging Policies That are Unfriendly to The Advance of The Nation's Seaports- Mr Lucky Amiwero

Mr. Lucky Amiwero blamed the Federal Government for encouraging policies that are unfriendly to the advance of the nation's seaports.
He additionally criticized Nigerian Ports Authority for demanding payment to it by terminal administrators in US dollars.
Talking during a preparation for journalists of the Federated Maritime Media Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Lagos on Monday 2nd April, Amiwero said government's foreign policy has not just denied the ports of greatly required cargoes, it has likewise prompted high cost for terminal operators.
As indicated by him, it isn't right for government to charge private terminal operators in view of cargo throughput and in US dollars, when volume of cargo at the port has radically decreased.

"One of the basic policies that are devastating the economy is the exchange rate policy, if at all you have the cash to import, you can't get the foreign exchange. Amiwero said terminal operators at the country's seaports must be ensured in light of their tremendous venture.
In his paper introduction titled 'Idea of Concession and Component of Port Regulation", Amiwero, stated, "70% of the throughput is not coming. So how would they pay?"
