NCS to Issue Licenses for Inland Vehicle Terminals

The Nigeria Custom Service (NCS) says they are ready to license to individuals and motor dealers whose interested in operating inland bonded terminals around the nation.


The public relationship officer (PRO) Mr Joseph Attah, said during the interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday 3rd April 2017 in Abuja.

The approaching effect on the vehicle bonded terminals aside making government revenue, it is guaranteed to provide job opportunities for the youth around the nation.
It is not safe smuggling vehicles in the country without a proper examination to detect what exactly is the content, but this will be properly examined and escorted to their final users from the sea port.

 Now customs door is wide open for any individual that is interested in having inland bonded terminals by writing an application to the area comptroller of the location, interested person will have approach a nearest bank and enter into a bond to the tune of N50 million, it is called bonded vehicle terminal.

Any licensed commercial bank bond will be accepted by the customs to ensure that government revenue is well secured, he said.


Attah, said that interested persons including car dealers must have a large fenced plot of land to park cars before applying for the license.
