Ghanian Custom Officers Trained on How to Detect Fraudulent Documents

Identification of fake documents presented by clearing agents to authorities of the customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority has been recognized has a test to the customs division.


Traders and clearing agents are said to present fake and modified documents to manover their products apparently to sidestep charges which prompts to the state loosing huge incomes.

To help settle this test, West Blue Consulting, the technical support suppliers of the customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority has sorted out a one day instructional meeting for customs officers.

The training which is a piece of the limit building activities for customs officers is to furnish them with the essential aptitudes and systems to recognize false documents and how best they can have the capacity to reject a portion of the invoices and documents being giving to them.

The Training Manager of West Blue, Ransford Mensah said the preparation which frames some portion of the Ghana National Single Window project will outfit custom officers with the bright skills to have the capacity to recognize fake documents and furthermore to have the capacity to encourage their work better and produce income for the nation.

"This preparation is impemeted to furnish custom officers with the correct aptitude to have the capacity to distinguish deceitful documents and furthermore to have the capacity to encourage their work better to create income for the nation," he said.
